UAE Launches Youth Social Missions Programme with First Group Joining Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 in Egypt

Al Arish, The Gulf Observer: The Federal Youth Authority has launched the first group of participants in the Youth Social Missions Programme, under the Humanity Track, to take part in Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 in Al Arish, Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of the UAE’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people.
The inauguration of the first group coincided with World Humanitarian Day and was attended by Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs. Dr. Al Neyadi met with the participating youth in the field, commending their high spirit and commitment to serving humanitarian causes while representing the UAE in one of the world’s most crisis-affected regions.
“The UAE believes humanitarian work must be instilled in younger generations, in line with the leadership’s vision of empowering youth to be ambassadors of giving and global peace,” Dr. Al Neyadi stated. “Through initiatives such as the Youth Social Missions Programme, we aim to prepare Emirati cadres capable of representing the nation’s values and providing sustainable humanitarian support to communities worldwide.”
He emphasized that the Emirati youth participating in this mission exemplify solidarity and responsibility, embodying the UAE’s humanitarian values. Their involvement in Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, he noted, reflects their readiness to stand at the forefront of supporting the Palestinian people by delivering vital aid and relief supplies.
Rashid Ghanem Al Shamsi, Director of Empowerment at the Federal Youth Authority, highlighted that the launch of the Youth Social Missions Programme reflects continuous efforts to empower youth across humanitarian, development, and cultural fields. He explained that the programme equips young Emiratis with practical tools and real field experiences to enhance their capabilities and ensure their effective contributions to communities worldwide.
The youth’s field tasks within Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 include preparing relief shipments, distributing food, medical and water supplies, supporting logistics operations, and following up on the UAE Lifeline pipeline, which provides clean water to around 600,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. They are also engaged in psychosocial support and direct humanitarian interventions in coordination with official entities operating in Gaza.
By offering these hands-on experiences, the initiative aims to broaden youth awareness of global humanitarian needs, enhance their skills, and foster their participation in international missions supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Youth Social Missions Programme is a flagship national initiative under the Society and Values pillar of the National Youth Agenda 2031. It seeks to prepare young Emiratis for active roles in humanitarian, development, and cultural missions, thereby reinforcing the UAE’s global presence and training a new generation of ambassadors for humanitarian action.
