UAE Leaders Attend Spectacular Aerial Display at 19th Dubai Airshow

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, attended the spectacular aerial display held on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow.

The event, taking place at Dubai World Central until 21 November, showcased some of the world’s most advanced commercial and military aircraft, reaffirming the UAE’s status as a global aviation hub.

Their Highnesses commended the impressive aerial performances, noting that the cutting-edge technologies on display reflect the remarkable progress and high standards of the international aviation industry. They further highlighted the Dubai Airshow’s position as a premier global platform that brings together leading manufacturers of civil and military aircraft and showcases the latest innovations and capabilities.

The opening day of the 2025 Dubai Airshow featured a dynamic aerial programme, beginning with a formation flight by UAE aircraft, followed by a precision performance from the “Emirates Falcons” aerobatic team. The lineup continued with displays by the futuristic JOBY aircraft, the Rafale fighter jet, the B-52 strategic bomber, and the advanced F-35 fighter. Demonstrations by the Boeing 777X and the widely operated F-16 fighter jet also captivated audiences.

Additionally, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force delivered a striking performance, while the Chinese COMAC 919 passenger aircraft made its first-ever appearance at the airshow. Other featured aircraft included the KA-52 attack helicopter, the Sukhoi Su-57 fighter, the UAE-designed and built Bader 250 trainer, the Mirage 2000-9 fighter, the Airbus A350 and TEJAS aircraft, and the Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft. The show concluded with a full aerial tableau by “Marche Verte,” the aerobatic team of the Royal Moroccan Air Force, showcasing the extensive range of aviation capabilities present at the event.

This year’s Dubai Airshow also underscores Dubai’s leadership in innovation and advanced air mobility, featuring for the first time flights of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, including models by JOBY Aviation. The Advanced Air Mobility pavilion highlights the transformative potential of electric aircraft in shaping the future of global transportation.

The 19th Dubai Airshow hosts more than 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 first-time participants, along with 490 military and civil delegations from 115 countries. The five-day event is expected to welcome around 148,000 visitors and features 21 national pavilions—including Morocco’s debut—98 chalets, an additional 8,000 square metres of exhibition space, 120 start-ups, and 50 investors.
