UAE: Ministry of Tolerance to host conference on role of tolerance in economic growth
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence announced the launch of an international conference on the role of tolerance and coexistence in achieving sustainable economic growth and attracting investments on 10th May, 2023, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
The event, which will be attended by 170 countries and 600 speakers, including senior officials and international experts, will be part of an initiative by international governments to promote tolerance and implementation of the strategic vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which focusses on building human capacities and creating a sustainable future.
The conference will be attended by ministers, thought leaders and decision-makers from government institutions from around the world and the Muslim Council of Elders, as well as individuals interested in promoting the culture of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity in government work.
The conference will also share the UAE’s experience in spreading the values of tolerance across ministries and government authorities and drafting global governmental policies that support human values, including tolerance and coexistence.
Afraa Al Sabery, Director-General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, said that the conference would be held under the patronage, follow-up and presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and will be attended by leading officials from various countries.
It will focus on sharing the UAE’s experience in promoting tolerance among government entities, strengthening the country’s stature as a global centre of tolerance, and learning from the best international governmental practices in promoting tolerance and coexistence, as well as in helping draft global policies that support relevant social values, she added.
