UAE President Meets King of Bahrain to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, hosted a meeting with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at his residence in Abu Dhabi today.
The leaders engaged in cordial talks, emphasizing the enduring and robust relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflecting the strong bond between their peoples.
Discussions during the meeting centered on exploring avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, aligning with the shared commitment to advance the development goals of both nations and meet the aspirations of their citizens for continued progress and prosperity.
In addition to reviewing the strong bilateral ties, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and His Majesty King Hamad underscored the importance of further strengthening collaboration across the Gulf region, highlighting its mutual benefits for the GCC member states and its role in realizing the ambitions of their citizens.
The leaders also delved into the latest developments in the Middle East, emphasizing the significance of concerted efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace process. Such a process, they noted, would contribute to regional stability, development, and prosperity for people across the region.
The distinguished gathering included His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, and various dignitaries.
Representing Bahrain were Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Royal Guard Commander; and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
