UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Strengthens Strategic Ties with Albania

Tirana, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Tirana today on a working visit to the Republic of Albania, where he held high-level discussions with Prime Minister His Excellency Edi Rama aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations.
Upon arrival at Tirana International Airport, His Highness was warmly received by Prime Minister Rama, accompanied by senior Albanian ministers and officials. The official talks took place at the Prime Minister’s Office – the Kryeministria – where the two leaders discussed the promising trajectory of UAE-Albania relations and avenues to deepen cooperation across various sectors.
Prime Minister Rama welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and the accompanying delegation, expressing confidence that the visit would open new horizons of collaboration and significantly contribute to the development goals of both nations.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the growing strategic partnership and explored enhanced cooperation in key sectors including economy, trade, renewable energy, food security, and advanced technology. They also exchanged views on pressing regional and international developments, emphasizing the critical role of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and the need for collective global action to uphold peace and stability.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to cultivating strong partnerships throughout the Balkans, recognizing Albania as a vital partner in the region. He reiterated the UAE’s consistent foreign policy of fostering development-driven relations grounded in mutual respect and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity.
As a testament to the enduring friendship between the two countries, Prime Minister Rama conferred upon His Highness the ‘Benemerenti’ medal – the highest public distinction awarded by the Albanian Prime Minister – in recognition of Sheikh Mohamed’s pivotal contributions to advancing UAE-Albania ties across multiple domains. The Prime Minister commended Sheikh Mohamed’s leadership and vision, noting the deep respect he commands in Albania.
