UAE President, Turkish Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Stability, Bilateral Ties in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday received Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Hakan Fidan, in Abu Dhabi, where the two sides reaffirmed strong bilateral relations and discussed pressing regional developments.
During the meeting, His Highness and the Turkish Foreign Minister exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, expressing their wishes for continued wellbeing and prosperity for their respective nations and for peace and stability across the world.
Hakan Fidan conveyed the greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the UAE leadership, along with his best wishes for the country’s continued progress and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reciprocated the sentiments, requesting that his greetings and wishes for further advancement be conveyed to the Turkish President.
The discussions also addressed recent regional developments, including ongoing military escalation and its broader implications for international security. Both sides emphasized the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomatic efforts to prevent further crises.
The Turkish Foreign Minister reiterated Türkiye’s condemnation of recent Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law, and a threat to regional stability.
The meeting was attended by several senior UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and other senior officials.
