UAE President, US Senator Discuss Strategic Cooperation and Regional Security Concerns

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a virtual meeting with US Senator Joni Ernst to discuss strategic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, as well as key regional developments.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties in ways that serve mutual interests and contribute to the prosperity of their peoples.
The discussions also focused on the evolving situation in the region and its serious implications for regional and international peace and security. The two sides exchanged views on ongoing developments and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to maintain stability.
They further addressed continued attacks attributed to Iran targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, including strikes on civilians and civilian infrastructure. Senator Ernst strongly condemned these actions, describing them as violations of sovereignty, international law, and established norms.
The meeting was attended by UAE Ambassador to the United States Yousef Al Otaiba.
