UAE Reveals ‘XDGs 2045’ Report at UN Sustainable Development Forum
New York, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) delegation to the United Nations (UN) High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development, hosted by the UN Economic and Social Affairs Department at its New York headquarters, presented the groundbreaking findings of the ‘XDGs 2045: Navigating the Future of our World’ report. Developed by the UAE’s National Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the report charts a visionary sustainability roadmap spanning beyond the UN’s 2030 Agenda.
The report synthesizes insights garnered from the XDGs 2045 Ministerial Roundtable, a pivotal assembly held during the World Governments Summit 2024. It offers a comprehensive assessment of global development efforts to date, evaluates progress towards the 2030 Agenda objectives, and delineates crucial measures necessary to ensure an equitable and sustainable future for all.
Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange and Chairman of the National Committee on SDGs, underscored the UAE’s commitment to advancing a knowledge-driven economy beyond 2030. He emphasized the UAE’s strategy of harnessing innovation and forging strategic alliances to confront emerging global challenges, thereby bolstering national prosperity and contributing meaningfully to global sustainable development.
