UAE, Slovenia Presidents Discuss Regional Security, Stress Dialogue Amid Escalation

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a telephone call from Nataša Pirc Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia, during which both leaders discussed the evolving regional security situation and reaffirmed the importance of diplomatic engagement.

During the conversation, President Pirc Musar condemned the continued attacks attributed to Iran targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, including strikes affecting civilians, civilian infrastructure, and vital facilities. She noted that such actions constitute violations of sovereignty and international law, and pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.

The Slovenian president expressed her country’s solidarity with the UAE and support for the measures being undertaken to safeguard its security, stability, and territorial integrity. She also commended the UAE leadership’s effective management of the situation and its efforts to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors.

The two leaders reviewed the broader implications of the ongoing military escalation on regional and international peace and security, highlighting its significant impact on the global economy.

Both sides underscored the urgent need to contain the escalation and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy as key tools to address outstanding regional challenges, preserve stability, and prevent further crises.

The call also included discussions on bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Slovenia, with both leaders reaffirming their shared commitment to further strengthening ties in support of the development aspirations of their respective nations and peoples.
