UAE Sports Officials Explore Joint Cooperation with International Paralympic Committee in Paris
Paris, The Gulf Observer: UAE sports officials met with representatives of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) today to discuss avenues of joint cooperation and future initiatives to enhance sports for people of determination globally. The meeting took place in the French capital on the sidelines of the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
The discussions were attended by Andrew Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee, and were led by Sheikh Suhail Bin Butti Suhail Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the UAE’s General Authority of Sport, representing Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports.
Sheikh Suhail Bin Butti Al Maktoum expressed the UAE’s strong commitment to collaborating with the IPC and affirmed the country’s readiness to support and implement future initiatives that focus on advancing sports for people of determination. He praised the IPC’s efforts, noting that their work has been instrumental in the success of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
