UAE, US Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to explore ways to enhance strategic relations between the two countries in support of their mutual interests.

The discussion focused on expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including economic, commercial, and scientific fields, as well as in artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and other areas aligned with the development priorities of both nations.

During the call, Sheikh Abdullah underscored the depth of the UAE–U.S. strategic partnership and reaffirmed their shared commitment to constructive cooperation, promoting sustainable development, and advancing growth and progress for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.

The two senior diplomats also reviewed regional developments, including the dire situation in Sudan. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of activating the provisions of the Quad statement issued last September, involving the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, aimed at ending the Sudanese conflict and achieving a peaceful resolution.

Additionally, the conversation addressed efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the United States’ continued role in promoting security and stability in the Middle East, as well as its efforts to foster sustainable peace and regional prosperity.
