UAE, US Top Diplomats Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Call

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, received a telephone call from United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which they reviewed the strong strategic relations between the two countries and discussed key regional developments.
According to a statement, the two sides exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest, including the situation in the Gaza Strip and the latest developments in Yemen.
During the call, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah underscored the UAE’s unwavering commitment to working closely with the United States, as well as with all international partners, to help establish sustainable peace in the region and to enhance security and stability in the interests of the region’s peoples.
The UAE foreign minister and the US secretary of state also exchanged New Year greetings, with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveying his best wishes to Secretary Rubio and his family for a happy and prosperous New Year.
