UAE Welcomes US-Brokered Gaza Ceasefire, Calls for Immediate Action to Ensure Peace

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has welcomed the announcement by US President Donald Trump of a first phase of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, praising his pivotal role in facilitating the deal and urging all parties to take urgent measures to end the ongoing conflict and work toward lasting peace and stability in the Strip.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed appreciation for President Trump’s significant efforts and commended the steadfast contributions of Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye in supporting the arrangements that led to the agreement.
The UAE highlighted hopes that the ceasefire would mark a positive step toward alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and laying the groundwork for a just and lasting settlement that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people while restoring regional security and stability.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of building on this progress through strict adherence to the terms of the agreement, exercising restraint, and taking concrete steps to resume a comprehensive political process aimed at achieving a two-state solution, ensuring peace, security, and stability for all peoples in the region.
Furthermore, the UAE reaffirmed its unwavering support for all regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions, achieve a just and comprehensive peace, and ensure the urgent, sustainable, safe, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical assistance to the Palestinian population in Gaza.
