UAE Winter Sports Federation and Ski Dubai Forge Alliance in Preparation for 2026 Winter Olympics

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In a landmark development aimed at bolstering the UAE’s presence in global winter sports, the UAE Winter Sports Federation and Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment’s Ski Dubai have solidified their commitment through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership is geared towards providing comprehensive support to the UAE National Team in its journey towards the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy.

The signing ceremony, attended by dignitaries including Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General for the General Authority of Sports, and Ignace Lahoud, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, marks a significant milestone in the collaborative efforts to enhance snow sports within the UAE. Hamel Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Vice President of the UAE Winter Sports Federation, and Mohammad El Etri, Managing Director UAE & Oman & Global Snow Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under the terms of the MoU, Ski Dubai will play a pivotal role as a strategic partner, extending crucial support to the UAE National Team through various avenues such as training camps, provision of resources, and logistical assistance. This partnership underscores a shared vision between the UAE Winter Sports Federation and Ski Dubai to foster the growth and development of snow sports in the UAE.
