Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government qualifies Egyptian government leaders

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) concluded its programme to train and qualify a group of government leaders from the Arab Republic of Egypt as part of a strategic partnership with the Egyptian National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), in an event held today at the MBRSG campus.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MBRSG; Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG; and Professor Raed Awamleh, Dean of MBRSG; along with representatives of MBRSG and NIGSD.

“We are pleased today to graduate elite government leaders from the Arab Republic of Egypt, as the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government continually seeks to contribute to the development of government performance in the region and world. This is based on our mission through which we disseminate the UAE’s pioneering development experience around the world for a better future for governments and peoples. We extend our special thanks to the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development in Egypt for its distinguished partnership with MBRSG, and looking forward to greater cooperation during in the future,” Al Falasi said.

Dr. Al Marri stated, “Over a week, the presence of a group of Egyptian government leaders constituted a great opportunity for us to exchange experiences, share knowledge and best practices, as we were keen to share ideas of how government work and performance can be developed. We are pleased to host this Egyptian government delegation, and we will work in the coming period to enhance our role in qualifying and preparing government leaders in the region and the world in line with various global changes, serving towards the achievement of all sustainable development goals and raise government performance to competitive levels that can create a better future for future generations.”

For his part, Prof. Dr. Sharifa Ahmed Fouad, Executive Director of Egypt’s NIGSD, commented, “We thank the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government for the programme that was established based on our strategic partnership. The training programme was distinguished and takes into account various developmental dimensions. We aspire to contribute to enhancing the performance of various Egyptian government institutions in accordance with the best international standards.”

The training programme is part of MBRSG’s role of providing regional government system’s in the latest knowledge expertise, and innovative solutions. The programme, covering governance and sustainability in the digital age, consisted of 13 workshops on future government and government strategies, strategic leadership and its tools in an era of challenges, global governance, corporate governance, and global goals for sustainable development – within the Sustainable Development Goals Index in the Arab Region 2022 report, which was launched by the MBRSG during Expo 2020 – in addition to digital transformation in institutions, and government excellence workshops.

The programme also included a field visit to one of the leading institutions in Dubai.
