UAEU Achieves Global Recognition in Inaugural Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025
Al Ain, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has been ranked 112th globally and secured the top position in the UAE in the inaugural Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025. The rankings, conducted in collaboration with Schmidt Science Fellows, highlight UAEU’s leadership in transformative research and innovation.
The pioneering rankings evaluate universities’ contributions to interdisciplinary science, underscoring the importance of research that bridges diverse fields to address complex global challenges. A total of 749 universities from 92 countries and territories were assessed using 11 performance indicators across three core areas representing the complete lifecycle of research projects: Inputs (Funding), Process (Infrastructure and Support), and Outputs (Research and Reputation).
Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Ahmed Ali Alraeesi, Acting Vice Chancellor of UAEU, stated, “Securing the 112th position globally and leading the UAE is a testament to UAEU’s dedication to fostering interdisciplinary research that addresses pressing global challenges.
