UNWTO Secretary-General Lauds Uzbekistan’s National Pavilion at UN Climate Change Conference
Baku, The Gulf Observer: UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili visited Uzbekistan’s national pavilion during the UN Climate Change Conference, commending its distinctive design and focus on sustainability.
Pololikashvili praised the pavilion’s integration of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage with ecological principles, highlighting its unique contribution to the event. He remarked on the country’s innovative approach to addressing environmental and climate challenges, describing the stand as a harmonious blend of national values and sustainable development.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed UNWTO’s commitment to supporting Uzbekistan’s initiatives, particularly those announced during the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly in Samarkand. “We will actively cooperate and continue to support all initiatives proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev,” Pololikashvili stated.
He further noted that Uzbekistan’s rich cultural legacy and ambitious environmental projects enhance its global profile, attracting the interest of tourists and international partners while solidifying its standing on the world stage.
