Ulissi Climbs Final Podium at Tour of Poland for UAE Team Emirates

Krakow, The Gulf Observer: UAE Team Emirates’ Diego Ulissi capped off a successful week of racing at the Tour of Poland, securing a commendable 2nd place overall, just behind race winner Jonas Vingegaard of Visma-LAB. The final stage, held on Sunday, featured a flat route from Wieliczka to Krakow, culminating in a sprint finish won by Visma-LAB’s Olav Kooij.

In addition to his overall podium finish, Ulissi also claimed the Sprint Jersey, underscoring his consistent performance throughout the race. Rafal Majka, another standout from the UAE Team Emirates, was recognized as the best Polish rider, adding to the team’s accolades in the tour.

Simultaneously, at the Vuelta España, UAE Team Emirates’ Brandon McNulty conceded the red leader’s jersey to Wout Van Aert of Visma-LAB. Van Aert’s impressive effort in the bunch sprint on stage 2, a 194km route from Cascais to Ourém, earned him enough bonus seconds to surpass McNulty, who now sits in 2nd place overall.

Both results highlight UAE Team Emirates’ strong presence in international cycling, with key performances across multiple prestigious events.
