Jeddah, The Gulf Observer: The University of Jeddah is set to launch the first International Forum on Giftedness in Higher Education on September 3–4 at the university’s conference center, under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan.

The forum will showcase award-winning innovations by talented university students that have been recognized at international exhibitions. It will also spotlight the latest local and global developments in talent care, present policies and programs dedicated to nurturing gifted students, and promote innovation as a key driver of strengthening national capabilities in the labor market.

Aimed at raising awareness of the importance of supporting gifted students among families, peers, and stakeholders, the event will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, cultural competitions, interactive exhibitions, and specialized workshops.

Organizers emphasized that the forum seeks to advance talent development in higher education, keeping pace with global trends and aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives for sustainable development. Discussions will address the future of talent care in universities, the challenges facing higher education institutions, and solutions for enhancing talent programs and educational environments both in Saudi Arabia and internationally.

The two-day gathering is expected to draw university faculty and leaders from public and private higher education institutions, schoolteachers, families of gifted and creative students, directors of talent centers, as well as social workers, psychologists, and researchers specializing in talent, innovation, and creativity. Gifted students from general and higher education institutions will also participate.
