Uzbek representatives attend IDEF-2023 in Istanbul

Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: Istanbul hosts the 16th International Defence Industry Fair IDEF-2023.
It is attended by representatives of the ministries of internal affairs, defense, the National Guard and the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the grand opening of the exhibition via videoconference.

Opening the exhibition, the President of Türkiye noted that over 6 months of this year, exports in the defense industry rose to a record level ($2.6 billion), and Türkiye set a goal to bring this figure to $6 billion by the end of the year.

As part of IDEF-2023, Uzbekistan representatives held several talks with officials of public and private organizations participating in the exhibition on bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The issues of strengthening the legal framework for interdepartmental collaboration and interaction in various areas were discussed at the meetings.

The fair will run until July 28.
