Uzbek State University Hosts Belarusian Olympic Academy Delegation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports hosted a significant meeting between its leadership and a delegation led by Natalya Aponchuk, Chairperson of the Belarusian Olympic Academy. The visit aimed to enhance collaboration between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the realm of sports and physical education.

During the meeting, the delegation was introduced to several key facilities at the university, including the information and resource center, Kurash Hall, the winter sports simulation complex, the laboratory of the Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, the student dormitory, and the Sports Palace.

Rector Rashid Matkarimov highlighted the efforts being made in Uzbekistan to train professional athletes and conduct scientific research in sports education. He emphasized the importance of preparing for the upcoming Tashkent 2025 Games for youth, scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan. Matkarimov also discussed the implementation of target programs designed to strengthen international cooperation in sports.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed the physical education and sports objectives outlined in several official documents signed between Uzbekistan and Belarus, reinforcing the commitment to collaboration and shared goals in sports development.
