Uzbekistan and Kuwait Foreign Ministers Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: In a significant diplomatic move, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, who is currently on an official visit to Kuwait, held comprehensive talks with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, as reported by NHC.

The discussions between the two foreign ministers covered a wide range of topics on the bilateral agenda, focusing on enhancing the partnership between Uzbekistan and Kuwait. Minister Saidov expressed optimism about the future of the relationship, stating on his official Telegram channel: “Together with my colleague, Foreign Minister of Kuwait, H.E. Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, we discussed all the topics on our bilateral agenda. Undoubtedly, Uzbekistan and Kuwait partnership has big potential yet to be exploited. Facilitating economic relations, increasing connectivity between our regions, boosting exchanges, creating a strong legal foundation, enhancing people-to-people ties, and strengthening capacity building remain among our priorities.”

During the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Kuwait was signed, focusing on the Cooperation of Diplomatic Institutes. This agreement is expected to further solidify the diplomatic ties and foster greater collaboration between the two nations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan also announced that a series of bilateral negotiations, meetings with leading Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, and participation in a joint business forum are scheduled during the visit. These engagements aim to explore and expand the economic and commercial ties between the two countries, paving the way for new opportunities and mutual growth.
