Uzbekistan Celebrates Agricultural Workers Day in Surkhandarya Region
Termez, The Gulf Observer: The Agricultural Workers Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the Surkhandarya region, with the main festivities held in the city of Termez.
During the event, speakers highlighted the transformative progress in the country’s agricultural sector, crediting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s leadership and reforms for elevating the industry to new heights. These advancements, driven by market-oriented mechanisms and innovative agricultural practices, have significantly contributed to ensuring a stable and prosperous life for Uzbekistan’s population.
As part of the celebration, several distinguished farm workers, dehkan farmers, and household landowners were honored with badges, certificates, and commemorative gifts presented by the regional hokimiyat. Notably, the Hokim of Surkhandarya region received the prestigious “Qishloq Xo’jaligi Fidoyisi” badge from the Ministry of Agriculture in recognition of his dedication to the agricultural sector.
The festivities concluded with a vibrant concert featuring performances by renowned artists, adding a festive atmosphere to the day of appreciation for Uzbekistan’s agricultural workforce.
