Uzbekistan Delegation Participates in CHANDI 2025 Forum in Indonesia

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: An Uzbekistan delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Culture Yusufjon Usmonov, took part in the international forum CHANDI 2025, dedicated to culture, heritage, art, diplomacy, and innovation. The event gathered representatives from more than 40 countries, fostering dialogue on cultural cooperation and creative exchange.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with Indonesia’s Minister of Culture Fadli Zon. The Minister commended Uzbekistan’s historic contribution to the development of Islamic civilization, particularly highlighting the legacy of its great scholars and thinkers. He expressed Indonesia’s keen interest in strengthening bilateral cultural ties and voiced support for initiatives to organize Culture Days in the capitals of both countries, as well as for the development of a long-term cooperation program.

The Uzbekistan delegation also held talks with the leadership of the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Udayana University, where discussions focused on opportunities for inter-university cooperation and expanding academic partnerships. Rector of the Indonesian Institute of Arts, Wayan Adnyana, announced his plans to visit Uzbekistan to hold further negotiations aimed at strengthening collaboration.

Following these discussions, the parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan and the Indonesian Institute of Arts, marking an important step toward deepening cultural and educational ties between the two nations.
