Uzbekistan FM Bakhtiyor Saidov Meets Nordic Investment Bank CEO in Helsinki to Expand Cooperation

Helsinki, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with André Küüsvek, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), during his official visit to Finland.
Speaking about the meeting in Helsinki, Saidov described the talks as productive and focused on expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Nordic financial institution.
“Today in Helsinki, we held a productive meeting with the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Nordic Investment Bank, Mr. André Küüsvek,” Saidov said. “During the conversation, we discussed issues of expanding cooperation, in particular the financing of projects in the fields of sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.”
During the discussions, the two sides also explored opportunities for the bank’s participation in priority investment initiatives in Uzbekistan.
According to officials, the initiatives are aimed at supporting ongoing reforms in the country and promoting long-term economic growth through sustainable development projects.
The meeting formed part of Uzbekistan’s broader efforts to deepen cooperation with international financial institutions and attract investment to key sectors of its economy.
