Uzbekistan Participates in 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade in Xiamen

Xiamen, The Gulf Observer: The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Xiamen, Fujian Province, successfully hosted a series of events as part of the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). The prestigious event was attended by China’s Deputy Prime Minister, senior officials from Fujian Province, and delegations from 119 countries, including representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, as well as officials from the Andijan and Syrdarya regions.

A pavilion showcasing Uzbekistan’s national products, investment opportunities, and tourism potential was established at the exhibition. This platform provided a valuable opportunity to demonstrate the country’s growing capabilities in various sectors, emphasizing Uzbekistan’s appeal as a destination for international investment and tourism.

One of the key outcomes of the fair was the signing of an investment project between Xiamen Jinming Energy and Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, focusing on energy production from waste. The project will allocate 10 hectares of land within the regional landfill for the development of environmentally friendly technologies. This marks a significant milestone in the implementation of sustainable energy solutions in the Andijan region.

The events at CIFIT underscore the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and China to fostering mutually beneficial cooperation. They reflect both countries’ efforts to promote an open economy, attract high-quality investments, and advance new standards for sustainable development.
