Uzbekistan, Russia sign several bilateral documents

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Following the talks, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin adopted a Joint Statement on deepening comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

In the presence of the heads of state, an exchange of 10 documents adopted between the governments and ministries of the two countries took place.

These include agreements on the establishment of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the city of Samarkand, mutual recognition of the relevant institutions of the authorized economic operator, the implementation of the project for organizing high-speed rail transportation “Agroexpress”, the Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2024-2025, and several cooperation documents in transport, science, education, and culture.

These agreements will help deepen practical cooperation in several promising areas of interaction between Uzbekistan and Russia.
