Uzbekistan Students Secure Silver Award in Global Tech4Good Competition for Innovative Aquatibia Project

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Techno Mind team, comprising eight Uzbekistan students from various higher education institutions, secured a silver award in the Tech4Good Global Competition for their innovative Aquatibia project. The competition’s final, held on January 11, 2024, featured ten teams from countries worldwide.
The Aquatibia project focuses on developing an integrated digital water filtration system for agriculture, aiming to reduce salt and heavy metals in water and soil. Notably, the project also received the People’s Choice Award.
Part of the Huawei Seeds for the Future 2023 educational program, the achievement reflects the students’ dedication to addressing key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as zero hunger (SDG-2) and clean water and sanitation (SDG-6).
The Aquatibia project holds the potential to positively impact the environment, agriculture, and soil quality, contributing to the realization of SDGs while simultaneously addressing challenges related to biological waste reuse and water filtration from salts and heavy metals in Uzbekistan.
The Huawei Seeds for the Future program, set to be held for the 10th time in Uzbekistan in 2024, has already provided valuable training opportunities to numerous students, fostering international collaboration and innovation.
