Uzbekistan to Host Tajik President for Landmark State Visit

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will undertake a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26–27, aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations and advancing strategic cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
According to official sources, the visit will feature high-level talks between the two leaders, as well as the inaugural meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, which will be jointly chaired by Presidents Mirziyoyev and Rahmon.
The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Key areas of cooperation will include strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, boosting interregional collaboration, and deepening industrial partnerships.
Special emphasis will also be placed on improving transport connectivity, ensuring water and energy security, and promoting extensive cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two nations.
In addition, the two leaders will exchange views on pressing regional and international issues, along with cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
The visit is also expected to witness the launch of several joint initiatives and the signing of a substantial package of bilateral agreements aimed at further consolidating multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
