Uzbekistan to Launch Center for Creative Youth of the Turkic World

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The 8th Meeting of Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member states was held in Astana, marking a significant step toward deepening youth cooperation among member nations. The meeting saw the participation of key officials, including the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adham Ikramov, and the First Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs, Dilnoza Kattakhonova.

During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the opening of the Center for Creative Youth of the Turkic World, slated for 2025 in Uzbekistan. Attendees explored key tasks related to the inauguration of this important center, as well as practical cooperation in establishing its activities. The center is expected to serve as a hub for fostering creativity and innovation among young people from OTS member states, enhancing cultural and educational ties.

The meeting also highlighted upcoming youth projects and activities set to be implemented across OTS member countries in 2025. These initiatives will focus on promoting youth engagement, cross-border collaboration, and the development of talent across diverse fields.

The idea for the establishment of the Center for Creative Youth of the Turkic World was initially proposed by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Astana on November 3, 2023. His vision of creating a center dedicated to supporting the next generation of Turkic youth is a key part of Uzbekistan’s ongoing commitment to enhancing regional cooperation and youth development.

The meeting in Astana marks a significant milestone in the continued efforts to strengthen ties within the OTS and advance youth-driven projects across the Turkic world.
