Shavkat Mirziyoyev to take part in fourth summit of heads of Central Asian states
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, will visit the city of Cholpon-Ata on July 21 to participate in the events of the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The agenda of the meeting of the leaders of the countries of the region includes issues of further expansion of practical cooperation, including in the field of trade, transport and logistics, industrial cooperation, innovation, food security, tourism, cultural and humanitarian exchange and other areas.
Particular attention will be paid to strengthening cooperation in joint response to modern challenges and threats to the stability and sustainable development of Central Asia.
As a result of the summit, it is planned to adopt a number of important multilateral documents.
It should be especially noted that the initiative to hold a Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017 during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
For information, the first summit of the leaders of the region was held in March 2018 in Nur-Sultan, the second – in November 2019 in Tashkent, the third meeting – in August last year in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, Turkmenistan.
