Putin awards Mirziyoyev with the Order of Alexander Nevsky
Moscow, The Gulf Observer: Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the order of Alexander Nevsky for his great contribution to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The Order of Alexander Nevsky is the only award that exists in the award systems of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and the Russian Federation (with certain modifications).
According to the decree of then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in 2010 “On measures to improve the system of state awards of the Russian Federation”, the Order of Alexander Nevsky was included in the system of state awards of Russia.
For information, in January 2021, Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding the former Union and Uzbek diplomat Rafik Nishanov with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
