Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Participates in 62nd Munich Security Conference

Munich, The Gulf Observer: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, participated in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, which convened representatives from various regions of the world to deliberate on key international and regional security issues.

Addressing the forum, Saidov underscored that Central Asia today stands as a positive example of how countries within a single region can resolve differences peacefully, promote shared prosperity, and consolidate efforts in addressing emerging challenges.

“Central Asia demonstrates that constructive dialogue and mutual trust can transform regional relations and open new opportunities for development,” the Uzbek foreign minister noted, emphasizing the region’s growing unity and cooperation.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Uzbek delegation held a series of bilateral meetings and exchanged views on current regional and global developments. According to Saidov, discussions were conducted with counterparts from Georgia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and representatives of the European Union, among others.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements and identified priority areas for further cooperation, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding partnerships in political, economic, and security domains.

The Munich Security Conference is regarded as one of the world’s leading platforms for dialogue on international peace and security, bringing together heads of state, ministers, policymakers, and experts to address pressing global challenges.
