Vietnamese President Tô Lâm Arrives in Beijing

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Vietnamese President To Lam, along with his wife and a high-ranking delegation from Vietnam, arrived in Beijing on Sunday evening as part of their state visit to China, which is scheduled from August 18-20.

The visit, made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping and his spouse, marks the first foreign trip by President Lâm in his new role, signifying a key moment in the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China this year.

The Vietnamese delegation departed from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, and their plane landed at Beijing Capital International Airport at 6:40 pm local time. Upon arrival, President Lâm and his delegation were warmly welcomed by prominent Chinese officials, including Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Director of the Office of the CPC Central Committee’s Commission for Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, along with a large number of Chinese citizens, staff from the Vietnamese Embassy in China, members of the Vietnamese community, and Vietnamese students studying in China, were also present to greet the delegation.

Later in the evening, President Lâm is scheduled to visit the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing, where he will meet with embassy staff, representatives of the Vietnamese community, and Vietnamese students in China.

This state visit is expected to have a significant impact on the development of relations between the two Communist Parties and countries, further strengthening the ties between Vietnam and China. The discussions during the visit are likely to focus on enhancing cooperation and fostering mutual understanding, reflecting the importance of the relationship between the two nations.
