Wang Yi Hosts New Year Reception, Emphasizing Global Cooperation and Stability

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: On Friday, Foreign Minister Wang Yi hosted the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s annual New Year reception at the Beijing Performing Arts Center, marking the beginning of a new year of diplomatic engagement for China. The event saw the participation of approximately 400 attendees, including Yin Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, along with diplomatic envoys from various countries, representatives of international organizations in China, and Chinese government officials.

During his address, Wang Yi, who also serves as a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, highlighted the Chinese foreign service’s commitment to the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind. He underscored China’s ongoing efforts to promote peace, foster development, and contribute to global stability in a turbulent world. Wang emphasized that China’s diplomatic actions have played a significant role in stabilizing international relations and providing positive energy amidst global uncertainties.

Wang acknowledged the valuable contributions of diplomatic envoys and international organization representatives who, over the past year, have engaged with various regions in China, fostering stronger ties and friendships between China and other nations. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to working collaboratively with all countries to address global challenges, overcome divisions, and promote mutual understanding and cooperation.

Martin Mpana, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in China and Cameroon’s Ambassador to China, extended New Year wishes to the Chinese people on behalf of the diplomatic community. He commended China’s diplomacy for its role in addressing global uncertainties and contributing to the solution of international challenges. Mpana emphasized that countries worldwide are eager to deepen their friendships with China and strengthen exchanges to collectively build a community with a shared future for mankind.
