WHO: 9% decrease in deaths by covid compared to last week

The World Health Organization in Geneva has faced criticism from President Trump over its handling of the pandemic.

New York, The Gulf Observer: The number of new weekly deaths decreased by 9 percent, with over 14,000 fatalities reported, as compared to the previous week, according to the latest weekly report issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The report further revealed that, as of 7 August 2022, 581.8 million confirmed cases and 6.4 million deaths have been reported globally, as the past week saw over 6.9 million new cases added.
