Xizang Launches 2024 Winter Tourism Campaign with Discounts
Lhasa, The Gulf Observer: Southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region has kicked off its 2024 winter tourism campaign, offering a range of incentives such as discounted airfares, complimentary hotel vouchers, and free access to tourist attractions to attract more visitors during the off-peak season.
As part of the “winter tour of Xizang” campaign, now in its seventh year, the region is providing 10,000 “buy-one-get-one-free” domestic flight tickets, 10,000 free domestic train tickets, and complimentary stays at premium accommodations for travelers. This year, special travel vouchers designed for family tours and senior travelers have also been introduced to broaden the appeal.
In addition, Xizang is once again offering free entry to all A-rated tourist sites, including the renowned Potala Palace, to further boost tourism. China’s tourist attraction rating system grades sites from 1A to 5A, with 5A representing the highest standard of tourism quality.
The winter tourism campaign aims to encourage more visitors to explore Xizang’s cultural and natural heritage during the low season, offering them unique travel experiences at significantly reduced costs.
