Zardari Confers Nishan-e-Pakistan on Mirziyoyev in Islamabad Ceremony

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: A solemn ceremony was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr to confer the Order of Nishan-e-Pakistan (Mark of Pakistan) on Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The highest civilian award of Pakistan was formally presented by Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in recognition of President Mirziyoyev’s outstanding contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.
It was noted during the ceremony that the prestigious distinction reflects a worthy acknowledgment of the joint efforts undertaken by both leaders to expand multifaceted cooperation. The award also symbolizes the deep-rooted friendship, mutual respect, and goodwill between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the esteem held for the Uzbek people.
The conferral of the Nishan-e-Pakistan was described as a testament to the growing strategic partnership between the two countries. Both sides expressed confidence that Uzbek-Pakistani relations will continue to gain new momentum and substance in the years ahead, further deepening cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
