President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló to Visit Vietnam

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, along with his spouse, will undertake an official visit to Vietnam from September 5-9, 2024. The visit is at the invitation of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tô Lâm, and his spouse, according to a communique issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This visit marks a significant milestone in the relationship between the two nations, which established bilateral diplomatic relations on September 30, 1973. During the visit, the two leaders are expected to engage in discussions aimed at further strengthening the diplomatic and economic ties between Vietnam and Guinea-Bissau.

The visit reflects the growing importance of bilateral cooperation and reaffirms the commitment of both countries to enhancing mutual understanding and collaboration across various sectors.
