Uzbek Foreign Minister Welcomes New Egyptian Ambassador

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: In a formal meeting, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the newly appointed Ambassador of Egypt, H.E. Tamer Fathi Abdussalom Hammad, as part of ongoing efforts to bolster diplomatic relations between the two nations. Ambassador Hammad presented copies of his credentials during the meeting, symbolizing the beginning of his official tenure in Uzbekistan.

Minister Saidov expressed his warm welcome to the Egyptian envoy, emphasizing the significance of the diplomatic mission. “The official visit of President of Uzbekistan H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Cairo last year laid a new foundation for a promising partnership,” the Foreign Minister stated on his official Telegram channel. He added that the embassies play a crucial role in advancing the growing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt.

Minister Saidov wished Ambassador Hammad success in his new role, underscoring the importance of further enriching the bilateral cooperation agenda in various fields, including trade, culture, and international diplomacy. The appointment of Ambassador Hammad is expected to strengthen the ties between the two countries, building on the momentum established during President Mirziyoyev’s historic visit to Egypt.
