UAE Ministry of Education Launches 2025 Summer Abroad Programme for Top Public School Students

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has officially launched the 2025 Summer Abroad Programme, sending 270 outstanding Grade 10 and 11 public school students to premier universities and research institutions across the globe.
This prestigious initiative reflects the Ministry’s strategic vision to equip future generations with the knowledge, skills, and global exposure necessary to contribute meaningfully to national development. The programme offers students an opportunity to enrich their academic journeys through access to world-class education and research platforms.
Scheduled to take place in July and August, the programme includes intensive training and educational experiences in six international innovation hubs—Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Malaysia. The curriculum emphasizes high-level learning in critical areas such as artificial intelligence, leadership, and entrepreneurship, enabling students to broaden their horizons, sharpen their academic and personal abilities, and make informed career choices.
Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education, remarked:
“The Summer Abroad program offers students hands-on training at top international scientific institutes, fostering academic growth, personal development, and broader cultural and scientific perspectives.”
The programme is also aimed at helping students build global knowledge networks, while cultivating long-term skills essential for education, innovation, and national progress.
In this year’s edition, the MoE has ensured inclusivity by welcoming students of determination from Japan and South Korea. A dedicated team of 29 academic supervisors will accompany the students, providing continuous guidance and mentorship throughout the journey.
The Ministry considers the Summer Abroad Programme a strategic investment in human capital, aligned with the UAE’s broader goals of developing a knowledge-based economy and preparing a generation of globally competent, forward-thinking leaders.
