UAE President and Montenegrin Prime Minister Discuss Strategic Ties and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received His Excellency Milojko Spajić, Prime Minister of Montenegro, on Thursday at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The Prime Minister, currently on a working visit to the UAE, engaged in high-level discussions aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and addressing critical regional security challenges.

Expanding Economic and Energy Cooperation

The two leaders reviewed opportunities to deepen the partnership between the UAE and Montenegro, with a specific focus on sectors vital to both nations’ development agendas:

  • Economy and Trade: Streamlining bilateral trade flows.
  • Investment: Identifying new ventures in infrastructure and emerging industries.
  • Renewable Energy: Leveraging the UAE’s expertise to support Montenegro’s sustainable energy transition.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering long-term prosperity through shared economic goals.

Regional Security and Maritime Stability

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the evolving geopolitical landscape in the Middle East. The leaders assessed the implications of recent regional escalations on:

Montenegro Condemns Attacks on UAE

During the talks, Prime Minister Spajić reiterated Montenegro’s firm condemnation of the recent Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure within the UAE. He characterized these actions as a blatant violation of international law and national sovereignty, underscoring that such attacks undermine the security and stability of the entire region.

The meeting was attended by a delegation of senior UAE officials, including:
