Tajikistan, Pakistan Reaffirm Commitment to Expanding Bilateral Cooperation at SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
Cholpan-Ata, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in key sectors, including economy, trade, industry, and energy, during a high-level meeting held on the sidelines of the regular Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
The meeting took place between H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, and H.E. Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the discussions, the two foreign ministers reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest. They emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan within the framework of regional and international organizations, particularly under the SCO.
The leaders also explored opportunities to enhance collaboration across various sectors, highlighting the shared commitment of both countries to promoting sustainable economic development, regional connectivity, and mutually beneficial partnerships.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their strong resolve to further elevate bilateral ties, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, industry, and energy.
The meeting reflected the enduring friendship between Tajikistan and Pakistan and underscored the two countries’ shared interest in advancing regional cooperation and fostering stronger strategic partnerships through multilateral platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
