Sheikha Latifa Honours Winners of Sixth Arab Social Media Influencers Award

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), honoured the winners of the sixth edition of the Arab Social Media Influencers Award.
The ceremony was held on the concluding day of the Arab Media Summit 2026 in Dubai.
The event was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; and Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Chairperson of the Arab Media Summit Organising Committee.
The award recognised prominent Arab influencers, content creators and organisations for producing purposeful and impactful digital content, while also honouring innovative initiatives that have made positive contributions to Arab societies.
Sheikha Latifa honoured Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, with the Influential Personality of the Year Award. He was recognised for his contribution to promoting positive content and constructive influence across social media platforms, based on the award’s three core criteria of content, impact and creativity.
Sheikha Latifa also honoured winners in other categories for their contributions to digital content creation and positive engagement with audiences.
The winners included Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi in Community Service and Health; Jamal Al Mulla in Podcast; Ghaith Marwan in Arts and Entertainment; Nasser Al Aqeel in Culture; The Adventures of Mansour in Best Children’s Platform; Hemex in Sports; Moniify Arabic in Best News Platform; Noon in Entrepreneurship; Al Mokhbir Al Eqtisadi in Economy; and Rahalista in Tourism.
The sixth edition featured 11 categories: Influential Personality of the Year, Podcast, Arts and Entertainment, Sports, Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Economy, Culture, Best Children’s Platform, Best News Platform, and Community Service and Health.
Winners were selected according to content, impact and creativity. The award seeks to recognise individuals and organisations producing meaningful digital content, making tangible contributions to their communities and using social media in innovative ways to promote progress and prosperity.
Speaking on the occasion, Mona Al Marri said the Arab Social Media Influencers Award reflects the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to encourage impactful media and strengthen its role in serving society.
She added that the award supports Dubai’s position as a regional hub for media and digital content while encouraging Arab creative talents to develop positive content with broad social impact.
Al Marri noted that the latest edition highlighted the growing diversity of digital content and showcased examples of social media being used for education, community service and creative expression across the Arab world.
She congratulated the winners, saying their recognition reflected the social impact of their work and demonstrated the role digital platforms can play in supporting communities, inspiring young people and promoting constructive dialogue and positive engagement.
Salma Al Mansoori, Manager of the Arab Social Media Influencers Award, said the award reflects Dubai’s belief in the potential of digital content to drive positive change and the role of content creators in raising awareness, promoting values and connecting communities.
She said the sixth edition recognised Arab figures who have used social media with professionalism, social responsibility and creativity, turning their digital presence into tangible and sustainable impact.
Launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the award is an initiative of the Dubai Press Club aimed at encouraging Arab digital talent, promoting constructive ideas and highlighting responsible and creative uses of social media.
The ceremony concluded with Sheikha Latifa joining the honourees for a commemorative photograph celebrating the innovators and achievers contributing to the Arab world’s presence across social media platforms.
