Azerbaijan, Russia Discuss Strengthening Cooperation Between Prosecutorial Authorities

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev met with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Russia Igor Krasnov in Moscow on September 29 to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ relevant authorities.

During the meeting, the officials highlighted the importance of friendly and trust-based relations between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Russia in advancing bilateral ties. They noted that strategic partnership and allied cooperation between the two countries continue to develop across various fields.

Kamran Aliyev praised the longstanding cooperation between the prosecutorial authorities of Azerbaijan and Russia, particularly in the areas of mutual legal assistance, crime prevention, and the exchange of operational experience and information.

The sides discussed prospects for expanding institutional cooperation, legal education and professional training for personnel. They also exchanged views on opportunities to organize joint scientific and practical events, training programmes and initiatives for sharing professional expertise.

Igor Krasnov expressed interest in further developing long-term and constructive cooperation with his Azerbaijani counterparts and voiced confidence that the meeting would contribute to strengthening ties between the relevant institutions of the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Kamran Aliyev presented Igor Krasnov with the Azerbaijani Medal “For Effective Cooperation with Prosecution Bodies.”
