Bahrain wins Malaysia’s 62nd international Quran competition

Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: The Kingdom of Bahrain ranked first in Malaysia’s 62nd international Quran competition in Kuala Lumpur. Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the achievement.

The minister praised the outstanding performance of the contestant Muhammad Samir Mujahid, who ranked first in the recital branch of the competition. More than 41 contestants, representing more than 31 countries, took part in the competition.

Mujahid, a student at the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Center for the Teaching of the Holy Quran, represented Bahrain in a number of international competitions and achieved advanced positions.
