Bahrain’s National Guard Ramadan sports competitions concluded

Manama, The Gulf Observer: Bahrain’s National Guard Staff Director Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa patronized the closing ceremony of the Ramadan Sports Competitions.

He stressed that that sport enjoys continuous interest and support of National Guard President General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of National Guard Staff Director Major General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, to develop training mechanism in the National Guard at all levels.

The current version of the Ramadan sports competitions contained four main competitions in which the units competed: the military marathon, football sixes, volleyball, and the 100-meter run for those over 50 years old.

The director handed over the cups to the winning teams in football and volleyball six-a-side, distributed medals to the two teams that finished second, and took a souvenir photo with the winning teams.

He affirmed the National Guard’s pride in the high levels that sport has reached and its efforts to prepare and train its members which is clearly reflected in the levels and results achieved by sports teams at the level of internal competitions as well as in their external participation, and the high sportsmanship of the National Guard members.
