Uzbekistan, Germany to enhance migration cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: A delegation led by the Special Commissioner of the Federal Government of the Republic of Germany for Migration Agreements, Joachim Stamp, visits Uzbekistan.

The guests are holding meetings in various ministries and agencies. Members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the “Ishga Markhamat” monocenter in Tashkent, where they talked with the Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bekhzod Musayev.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the work carried out in the sphere and plans.

Talks were held on such issues as teaching the German language to Uzbekistan citizens who want to work in Germany, developing new projects in vocational training, and opening a representative office of the Agency for External Labor Migration in Germany.

The guests were informed about the measures to establish legal and safe migration in Uzbekistan. It should be noted that over the past two years, the Agency has signed agreements with 13 German companies on the employment of Uzbekistan citizens in this country in such areas as medicine, construction, production, logistics, information technology, and the hotel business.

Within the framework of these agreements, since the beginning of this year, more than 300 Uzbekistan citizens have been sent to work in Germany. About 300 more citizens will go to Germany by the end of the year.

During the dialogue, proposals were made to create additional amenities for labor migrants, to implement new mutually beneficial projects in this direction.
