TransJakarta to extend operations to 24 hours for New Year’s Eve
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: PT Transportation Jakarta (TransJakarta) has announced its decision to facilitate seamless mobility for Jakartans by initiating round-the-clock bus operations starting from December 31. This extended service aims to accommodate individuals eager to partake in New Year’s Eve celebrations, ensuring uninterrupted transportation accessibility throughout the night.
“We aim to always provide public transportation for our community, especially TransJakarta, as the preferred mode of transportation to ease mobility during New Year’s Eve,” the company’s head of public relations and CSR department, Wibowo, stated on Friday.
To facilitate people’s mobility during New Year’s Eve at the Car Free Night (CFN) organized by the DKI Jakarta provincial government, TransJakarta will extend operating hours on four other non-BRT or non-corridor routes.
The four routes are Pantai Maju-Balaikota (1A), Harmoni-Ancol (5H), TMII-Tegal Parang (7D), and Ciputat-CSW (S21). During the CFN on New Year’s Eve, the four routes will operate until 2:00 local time, from the previous 22:00 local time, Wibowo remarked.
“The four routes intersect with busy points. The public celebrating New Year’s Eve at those locations do not need to worry because we will provide safe and comfortable accommodation for them,” he stated.
