Amir of Qatar Affirms Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Ties with the Philippines
Doha, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, reiterated the significance of his visit to the Philippines, emphasizing the dedication to enhancing bilateral relations and fostering mutual cooperation between the two nations.
Taking to Twitter, His Highness Sheikh Tamim expressed, “My visit to the Philippines comes within the framework of our keen interest in developing cooperation with this friendly country and elevating our bilateral relations to the optimal level.”
He further elaborated on the productive discussions held with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., stating, “The fruitful discussions I had today with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will contribute to enhancing our mutual trade and investment initiatives and serving the common interests of our two countries.”
Concluding his official visit to the Republic of the Philippines, His Highness Sheikh Tamim noted the exchange of several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at deepening cooperation across various sectors.
Following the successful visit, His Highness and the accompanying delegation are en route to Dhaka for a state visit to the friendly People’s Republic of Bangladesh, further underlining Qatar’s commitment to strengthening ties and promoting collaboration with nations across the globe.
